Intracranial aneurysm refers to the gradually generated abnormal dilation caused by the local damage of intracranial artery vessel wall due to congenital anomalies or acquired injuries under the hemodynamics load and other factors. Intracranial aneurysm is the primary cause of subarachnoid hemorrhage and ranks only after cerebral infarction and hypertensive cerebral hemorrhage among all cerebrovascular accidents.
Ischemic stroke, refers to the corresponding neurologic deficits caused by the interruption of cerebral artery blood flow for various reasons and the subsequent hypoxic-ischemic necrosis of local brain tissue because of various reasons. It is commonly found in elderly people who suffer from arteriosclerosis along with hypertensions, coronary heart diseases or diabetes.
